Design + Sourcing

Got a product idea living rent-free in your head? We take it from concept to manufacturer-ready.

The Gap Between Idea and Shelf

You've seen it at Target. You've used it at a friend's house. And every time, you think: "I had this exact idea three years ago."

The difference between you and them isn't the idea. It's execution. Specifically, it's knowing how to turn a concept into a manufactured product without losing your shirt — or your mind — in the process.

Finding a reliable manufacturer is hard. Negotiating MOQs is harder. Getting quality control right on your first production run? That's where most first-timers fail.

We've Built the Relationships

Over the years, we've established relationships with manufacturers across the globe — in the US, China, Vietnam, Mexico, and beyond. We know which factories are reliable. We know who actually delivers quality. We know who's worth the premium and who's cutting corners.

These relationships took years to build. You get access to them on day one.

When you work with us, you're not cold-calling Alibaba suppliers and hoping for the best. You're working with vetted partners who've delivered for our clients before.

What We Handle

Industrial Design

From rough sketches to CAD files ready for manufacturing. We design products that look great, function perfectly, and can actually be produced at scale.

Packaging Design

Packaging that protects your product, tells your story, and stands out on the shelf. From materials selection to print-ready files.

Brand Identity

Your product needs a brand that matches its quality. Logo, color palette, typography, and visual language that positions you where you belong.

Supplier Sourcing

We find the right manufacturer for your product — considering quality, cost, MOQs, lead times, and communication. No more Alibaba roulette.

Quality Control

Sample review, production oversight, and pre-shipment inspection. We catch problems before they become expensive.

Logistics Setup

Getting product from factory to warehouse to customer. Freight forwarding relationships, fulfillment options, and supply chain basics.

From Idea to Production

1

Concept Development

We start with your idea and turn it into something concrete. Sketches, renderings, material considerations, and an honest assessment of what's possible at what price point.

2

Design & Engineering

Detailed product design including CAD modeling, material specifications, and manufacturing considerations. We design for production, not just aesthetics.

3

Prototyping

Physical samples you can hold, test, and refine. 3D printing for early iterations, then production-method samples to validate the final design.

4

Supplier Selection

We identify the right manufacturers, get quotes, negotiate terms, and manage the relationship. You stay focused on your business while we handle the factory.

5

Production & QC

First production run with rigorous quality control. We review samples, monitor production, and inspect shipments before they leave the factory.

6

Launch Ready

Product in hand, packaging finalized, supply chain established. You're ready to sell — whether that's DTC, Amazon, retail, or wholesale.

The Real Talk on Manufacturing

Let's be honest about what this involves.

Getting a product manufactured is more complex than most people expect. Minimum order quantities (MOQs) often start at 500–1,000 units. Lead times can be 8–12 weeks. Tooling costs for custom molds can run $5,000–$50,000 depending on complexity.

We help you navigate all of this. We'll tell you what's realistic at your budget, what trade-offs you'll need to make, and how to structure your launch to minimize risk while you prove the market.

Domestic vs. International Manufacturing

Not everything needs to be made overseas.

For some products, domestic manufacturing makes more sense — faster lead times, easier communication, simpler logistics, and "Made in USA" positioning. For others, international manufacturing is the only way to hit your target price point.

We don't default to one or the other. We analyze your specific product, volumes, margins, and timeline to recommend what actually makes sense for your business.

Manufacturing options

Most product development projects range from $50,000–$150,000.

This covers design, prototyping, supplier sourcing, and first production run coordination. Simple products with existing manufacturing processes sit lower. Custom tooling, complex electronics, or highly regulated products go higher. We'll scope your specific project honestly.

Financing Your Product Launch

Product businesses are capital-intensive. Between design, tooling, first inventory run, and marketing — you're looking at a significant investment before you sell a single unit.

Our GROW financing program was built for exactly this. Fund your product development upfront, make minimal payments while we build, and settle when your product is generating revenue.

No equity. No investors. No waiting until you've saved enough.

Common Questions

We start every project with a feasibility assessment. We'll research the market, estimate production costs, identify potential manufacturers, and give you an honest opinion on whether the numbers work. Sometimes the answer is "not at this price point" or "not at these volumes" — and that's valuable information before you invest further.

It varies dramatically by product type. Simple products like t-shirts or basic accessories might start at 100–500 units. Custom manufactured items with tooling often require 1,000–5,000 units minimum. We'll research MOQs early and help you structure your launch accordingly.

For most products, expect 6–12 months from initial concept to first production units. Design and prototyping typically takes 2–4 months. Supplier selection and negotiation is another 1–2 months. Production and shipping adds 2–4 months depending on location and complexity.

We're not patent attorneys, but we work with excellent IP lawyers and can facilitate that process. We'll advise on when patent protection makes sense, when trade secrets are more appropriate, and how to structure your launch to protect your competitive advantage.

Our primary focus is getting your product manufactured and market-ready. Retail placement strategy and buyer relationships are a separate skill set. However, we design products and packaging with retail in mind, and we can recommend partners who specialize in retail placement when you're ready.

Maybe you already have a design but need help finding a manufacturer. Or you have a supplier but need packaging design. We can scope individual phases if you've already completed others — just be prepared to share what you have so we can assess where you are in the process.
